Just wanted to give a quick update as it has been a while since I have posted new information. My apologies as posting about this is not something that comes easy.
It is now late the night before we leave for Caitlyn’s Make a Wish trip. The excitement is well apparent. 8 AM we leave on 3/13, today we had our last Day Hospital appointment before Caitlyn is admitted for her first round of Chemo.
The past nearly 2 months have been filled with up’s and downs, most recently a breakthrough in Caitlyn’s eating habits this past weekend. Something clicked and her energy level has been raised even though she hasn’t shown any noticeable weight gain (96 & 1/4 pounds as of today).
I recently posted the results from Caitlyn’s followup CT scan. While the results suggest more growth in some areas this was no surprise to me but only a confirmation of what was seen when the biopsy was performed. Besides, the liver mass from my take on it has softened a bit.
I do want to say something about my journey in all of this. I have not stopped searching for the miracle we need. At the time of this posting I have spoken to hospital’s and doctors from coast to coast, boarder to boarder and sometimes sought the help from outside our boarders. Every time the answer is the same and sometimes I school them.
With that being said I want to reassure everyone who has been around me during recent times that our “FIGHT” is as strong as ever. Hoping the Make a Wish trip will replenish Caitlyn and the rest of us to continue on.
Keep The “FIGHT” Strong!
