Findings:
There is free fluid in the pelvis. Multiple intermediate signal and mostly homogeneous nodules are visualized within the pelvis with multiple implants on the peritoneum, sigmoid, uterus, bowl loops and in the atelectasis. Bowl loops are unobstructed and superiorly displaced by the nodules. The bladder is normal in contour. The uterus is normal in contour. The endometrium is homogeneous and measures approximately 2 MM in thickness. No definite normal ovaries can be identified. A small hyperintense area is noted in the right adnexa which may represent right ovary which is surrounded by tumor nodules. The left ovary is not seen. No follicles are seen. Post contrast images showed deffuse intense enhancement of the nodules. No invasion is seen in the abdominal wall and pelvic organs. The bones are unremarkable.
Impression:
Multiple enhancing nodules in the pelvis and free fluid. Findings are worrisome for carcinomatosis. Site of origin is not certain but lack of normal ovaries would favor ovarian neoplasm. Correlation with pathology is suggested.
